Broadening the EO Research & Application Capacity in Africa
Workshop Objectives:
The TIGER workshop 2016 aims to provide a platform for knowledge sharing of joint AfricanEuropean research in water resource management executed in the framework of TIGER, demonstrate the unprecedented observation capabilities of the recently launched Sentinel missions and introduce newly developed capacity building tools like the Water Observation Information System (WOIS) as well as the TIGER Training Kit. Considering the above assets, the workshop will discuss and collect recommendations how to support the implementation and monitoring of the 6th Sustainable Development Goal on Water and Sanitation making maximum use of Earth Observation technology.
